Biography
Joshua Stewart began his art career as a young child. He has studied and received help from many friends and great artist along the way. He lives with his beautiful wife and two gorgeous children in central Texas, just outside of Waco, where he works at his easel, as well as at land surveying. He loves the artistic side of map making that land surveying offers. Josh loves the challenge of capturing light and atmospheric prospective in his paintings. He strives to capture mood and emotion by using strong light sources. He favors oil and graphite as his medium but also has experience with watercolor, scratchboard and pastel. He finds great inspiration in the well done and realistic artwork of western artist such as James Reynolds, Bill Anton and Martin Grelle.
